The entomology building is home to a collection of
over 28 million specimens, with possibly half a million
species represented. Ironically, one threat facing the
                          collection is insects—live ones—specifically,
beetles that find their way into the storage cases and
feast on their dried brethren. (An upgrade of the storage
cases is expected to halt the problem.)
