Wildlife Garden

Set in the museum’s west lawn, the Wildlife Garden covers one acre and is a microcosm of Britain’s six habitats: oak woodland, lowland heath, chalk downland, hedgerow, pond, and reed bed.

Museum volunteers conduct research in the garden, monitoring plants and animals that colonize there and the environmental factors (such as air pollution) that affect them.
